We’re looking forward to providing a fun, family-friendly Walk/Run again in 2025! It’s always exciting to see families come back year after year and to meet newcomers who are just discovering the joys of this small town celebration. We can’t wait to see you on July 4th for the Walk/Run and for all the delights of a long holiday weekend.
All entrants will receive an original Mount Shasta 4th of July t-shirt (Tech or Cotton) and will be eligible for a variety of wonderful prizes worth over $5,000 donated by local merchants. All registered participants will automatically be entered into the drawing with the chance to win fabulous prizes. All finishers in the 2-mile youth race and 5-mile race will receive finisher medals. Participants will be entertained dozens of talented performers along the walk route.
BIB & T-SHIRT Pickup
July 3rd & 4th
T-shirts and race bibs can be picked up at Parker Plaza, one block north of the starting line, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on July 3rd and 6:30 to 8:00 am on Race Day. Due to expected crowds, please avoid race day packet pickup if possible!
Prize Drawings
Prize drawings will take place immediately after the event, during the awards ceremony. You must be present to win!
Safety Notes
Our insurance carrier does not allow wheeled devices of any kind in either race (except wheelchairs). In-line skates, skate boards, bicycles, headsets, and all animals are not permitted in any event (except seeing eye dogs). Baby strollers are permitted in the Fun Walk only.
Pet POLICY
Please leave your pets at home! In California it is illegal to leave a pet unattended in a vehicle when conditions are too hot. Assembly Bill 797 allows concerned citizens to rescue pets from hot cars. City ordinance prohibits dogs downtown during events.

Both Central Mt. Shasta exits on Interstate 5 will be closed from 8:00am - 10:00am on July 4th for this event. We suggest avoiding these exits – even before 8:00am.
Our suggestions to enter Mt. Shasta City:

Both of these exits will take you into Mt. Shasta City avoiding the area of heaviest congestion expected on July 4th.
